International Section Meeting 3/2015 – Election Extravaganza!

What is the student council and what does it do? Election Extravaganza is here to answer your questions about the student council, as well as about decision-making in the University of Oulu.

So… Do you want to make a difference in the student community? Are you interested in student advocacy? This autumn is the time of student council elections! Come and hear more in the Election Extravaganza! How do you run for a seat? How do you plan a campaign? What kind of practical matters do you need to take into account?

For those who are not interested in becoming a member of the student council, this is the perfect opportunity to come and voice your opinions about what kind of issues the next student council should tackle! This is also a chance for you to discuss how the student union could take international students more into account.

What is International Section?
OYY’s International Section brings together international students, student guild international representatives and other internationally-minded people, and at the same time you will become familiar with advocacy work. The I-Section operates in English, therefore offering a means of influence for the students who don’t speak Finnish.
