Include an internship to your studies

It’s a good idea to gain work experience already during your studies. The best way to do this is to do an internship that supports your studies.

You can apply financial aid for the internship from the University. The aid is meant to persuade the employers to hire university placement students. You can find internship advertisements from the University webpage and on subject societies’ or study programmes’ mailing lists. Of course, also you need to actively try and find a placement for yourself.

Also on many courses you’ll learn skills needed in the working life: project management, teamwork and interaction, to name a few. Learn to recognize your skills and prepare to describe them in your future job interviews!
