The Student Forum is a place for all students to make a difference!
The Student Forum is an open place for all University of Oulu students to discuss current issues. Topics can range from studying to support services, housing or city services – anything that affects the life of a student! You can come to the forum meetings to take part in the discussion, ask questions or just listen. We encourage everyone to put forward their own views, but speaking up is not a requirement for participation. We want everyone to have the opportunity to participate in a way that suits them!
The topic around which the discussion will take place will be defined in advance. You can also suggest topics to us either in the forum meetings or by email. A memo will be made of each meeting and discussed at the OYY Board meeting. The Board meeting will discuss how the issues, suggestions and concerns raised can be taken into account in the activities and advocacy of the Student Union. However, the Forum cannot change decisions made by the Student Council.

Tellus Stage
The topic will be urban influence and Oulu as a student city. OYY is working on an urban policy programme on which to base its advocacy work for the upcoming municipal elections. The forum will provide more details about the programme and give students the opportunity to express their own views on how Oulu as a city could take better account of students.
