Hurmos 2026 starts the academic year with a bang - this year, there's events for three days

Fall is off to a fast start once again, as all higher education students in Oulu get to celebrate Hurmos for the sixth time!

Organized by the Student Union OYY and the Student Union OSAKO, this year’s event series gets a special twist with the Hurmos sitsi parties held in Åströminpuisto as part of the Oulu2026 European Capital of Culture program. These sitsit will be held on Wednesday, September 9th, starting at 4:30 pm., and are open to everyone with a free entrance. The evening will continue until 10:00 pm, after which the festivities can continue at Ilona’s official sitsit after-party.

On Thursday, September 10th, Hurmos will take over the Linnanmaa campus as the traditional daytime event goes into the hallways of the university and Oamk. Open from 12 pm to 5 pm, the daytime event features a fair-style opportunity to get to know student organizations, companies, and other organizations. In addition, as usual, the most enthusiastic attendees will have the chance to add to their overalls patch collection with the Hurmos day event patch.

The Hurmos festivities will culminate in the festival atmosphere of Kuusisaari on Friday, September 11th. Gates to the festival grounds open at 4:30 pm, after which the evening’s program will feature a diverse lineup of student- and headlining artists: Student acts on the Hurmos stage will include DIVON, Misfortune, New Oulu Big Bang, and DJ Sofia, while the main stage will be hosted by good boys, VIIVI, and ibe.

Tickets for the festival will be sold in two batches, the first of which is now available on Kide.app. The second batch will go on sale, also on Kide.app, on August 26 at 12pm.

Tickets cost 29€ for OYY, OSAKO and O’Diako members, 49€ for others.

Welcome!
