24/7 access card as part of your student card!

Every new physical student card is now also a 24/7 access card, providing access to 24/7 campus facilities around the clock. The ordering of student cards has also changed. From now on, the cards will be ordered from the University’s online shop and printed in the OYY office.

The visual appearance of the card has also been redesigned. Undergraduate students, exchange students and doctoral students will each have their own distinctive card. Doctoral researchers will also receive new benefits with their student card: from 1 January 2024, the student card of a doctoral researcher will also entitle the holder to a discount on VR train tickets! What if you don’t need a physical student card? You can continue to use your student card in Tuudo as usual. If you don’t want to order a physical student card, you can also order a 24/7 access card separately. The price for both cards is €15. A 24/7 access card for non-members costs €30. Old student cards are still valid, so you don’t have to order a new one if you don’t want to. However, the 24/7 access can’t be added to an old student card.

Both the student cards and the 24/7 access cards can be picked up about a week after ordering. You can pick up the cards at the OYY office or at the information point on Kontinkangas campus. You will be notified by e-mail when the card is ready. During peak periods at the beginning of the academic year, delivery may take a little longer.
