Apply until March 28 to become a student representative of administration for the 2026–2027 term.

At the University of Oulu, students are represented by students, who are called hallopeds. A halloped, or student representative in the administration, is the voice of students in decision-making. There are over a hundred hallopeds at the University of Oulu, and they are influential throughout the university administration, from The Board of Examiners to the Education Committees. Student Union is looking for new student representatives for the two-year-term of 2026-2027. The call is open from May 12 to May 28. Open positions listed below (member+vice member):

Currently open university-level student representative positions:

– Education Council (0+1)

Currently open student representative positions within the faculties:

Faculty of Science
– Faculty Board (0+2)

Faculty of Medicine
– Faculty Board (0+1)
– Equality and Diversity Working Group (0+1)

Faculty of Technology
– Faculty Board (0+1)
– Education Committee (0+1)

Currently open student representative positions for doctoral researchers:
– Doctoral Education Committee of Health and Biosciences (1+0)

Only students of the respective faculty can be selected for that faculty’s positions. Student members of Education Council, Faculty Management Groups, Education Committees and Boards are paid a fee of €44,50 per meeting for attending meetings of the faculty-level positions, provided they are not part of the university staff.
