Student representatives are needed for the Equality and Diversity Committee and the Board of Examiners for the 2024-2025 season! In addition, the faculty positions of the Faculty of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine need the voice of students. Apply for this supplemental search on November 3rd by!
Hallopeds, i.e. student representatives of the administration, are being sought through a supplementary search for the years 2024-2025. Halloped is the representative of the students’ voice in decision-making. At the University of Oulu, there are two hundred hallopeds, and they influence all aspects of the university’s administration, from the board to the degree program committees.
OYY’s Board has opened a recruitment search for these positions:
University level:
- Board of Examiners, (one reserve seat)
- Equality and Equality Committee, (one reserve seat)
Faculties’ positions:
- Management Group of the Faculty of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine, (one regular and one alternate position)
- Board of the Faculty of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine, (two alternate seats)
- Education Committee of the Faculty of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine, (one reserve position)
The committees meet on average 2-5 times per semester and it is possible to get credits for the activities. Student members are paid a fee of EUR 41.20/time for the meetings of the university collegium, education management group, education council, board of examiners, as well as faculty boards, management groups and education committees, if the member is not a member of the university staff. The chosen one must be a present student of the University of Oulu and a member of OYY when acting in a representative capacity. Working in a work group does not require previous experience. So you can apply whether you were a first or fifth year student!
