OYY's Board for 2025 has been elected, Luna Pösö has been elected Chair of the Student Council

OYY’s 2025 Board has been elected!

At its last meeting of the year on Wednesday 4 December, the Student Council elected the Board of the Student Union and the Presidium of the Student Council. Luna Pösö, an architecture student (Technology and Economics Electoral Ring), was elected President of the Student Council. 23-year-old Pösö is a second-year student with experience in both the architectural guild and interest societies. Veera Huotari (Interdisciplinary Electoral Ring), an educational psychology student, will serve as vice-chair for the coming year. 

There were 18 applicants for the board, of which Karoliina Kokko-Tollola, Carolina Kempas, Tiina-Kaisa Nikkinen, Miikka Lukkaroinen, Jonne Haapala, Janne Väisänen and Aprotim Paul were elected after a vote. The Board will elect the Vice-Chairs from among its members at the organisational meeting in January. Vilma Sippola, a student of History of Science and Ideas, was already elected Chair of the Board at the lastStudent Council meeting.
