Apply to become a student representative of administration for the 2026–2027 term.
At the University of Oulu, students are represented by students, who are called hallopeds. A halloped, or student representative in the administration, is the voice of students in decision-making. There are over a hundred hallopeds at the University of Oulu, and they are influential throughout the university administration, from The Board of Examiners to the Education Committees. Student Union is looking for new student representatives for the two-year-term of 2026-2027. The call is open fro 17 August to 20 September. Open positions listed below (member+vice member):

Faculty of Science

Faculty of Medicine

Faculty of Technology

– Education Committee (0+1)*
Currently open student representative positions for doctoral researchers:
– Doctoral Education Committee of Health and Biosciences (1+0)
Other open position:
– Cooperations Management Group (0+1)
Only students enrolled in the respective faculty may be elected to the faculty’s governing bodies. Student members receive a meeting fee of 44.50 € per meeting for meetings of the bodies marked with an asterisk, IF the member is not a member of the university staff.
