49 new student representatives in administration selected for the 2026–2027 term

OYY’s Board has appointed 49 new student representatives to 38 different administrative bodies, either as full members or deputy members. Earlier this autumn, the Student Council selected the student members of the University Collegium and the University Board. In addition, the Board has appointed student members to the dining committees.

There are student representative positions, or hallopeds, both in the faculties and in the university’s joint administrative bodies. However, some positions of influence remain unfilled: for example, the FSHS Health Working Group and several faculty-level bodies are still looking for student members. The faculties of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine, Science, and Technology in particular offer excellent opportunities for students interested in influencing their own studies.

The supplementary application round for the open positions begins in January and will be open from 16 January to 1 February 2026. The term is two years, and representatives may resign from their position if, for example, they graduate. Some positions will also open during the term, and deputy members may have the opportunity to become full members.
