Welcome to HyWe’s Wellbeing Day on Thursday, 27 November at the Linnanmaa campus!
The Wellbeing Day begins at 8:00 with the FSHS HealthStart event at the H2O restaurant. The event is aimed at all first-year students, and the first 170 first-year students will receive a free breakfast from the restaurant. At the same time, you can answer the FSHS HealthStart survey. A prize will be raffled among all respondents.
From 11:00 to 14:30, you can learn about wellbeing tutoring at the HyWe stand located at the university lobby’s orange info point near the green coat racks. You can fill out a survey about what kind of wellbeing tutoring you would like to have at the university and take part in a raffle for movie tickets to Star.
From 11:00 to 13:00, you will also find the university’s physical activity counselling at the same location. Are you wondering about something related to your current physical activity or getting started with exercise? Now you have the opportunity to ask our exercise advisor, Mia Tervo, anything related to physical activity at the pop-up counselling point. Did you know that higher education students can also access free individual exercise counselling by appointment at www.unimoveoulu.fi?
The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Oulu is also part of the Wellbeing Day programme. You can meet them in the lobby during the day. In addition, the weekly Walk-in Therapy opens its doors at the Chapel at Linnanmaa from 15:00 to 17:00.
MIELI Oulu is also participating in the Wellbeing Day with a MIELI workshop and a Sekasin Live pop-up. The theme of the MIELI workshop is everyday resources and recovery. The workshop includes information and theme-related exercises that can be done individually or in groups. It takes place in the Tellus Horizon space between 14:30 and 16:00—you can join for any duration that suits you. The Sekasin Live pop-up offers confidential conversational support with a Sekasin Live staff member. Come and chat, easily and without pressure, about the things that matter to you!
