OYY launches the renewal of its political guidelines!

The Student Council established a working group for the renewal at its meeting 19 February

The Student Union’s political opinions are defined in the policy paper approved by the Student Council. The policy paper is a document which guides the advocacy work of OYY’s board and specialists. It includes objectives about development of education and the services provided by the University and also outlines the goals for local and national policies on topics like public transport and student housing.

The previous renewal of the policy paper was done in 2022. The Student Council approved OYY’s new strategy in the Autumn of 2025. The policy paper is renewed, so it will take into account the new strategy’s goals and the changed environment we operate in.

The Student Council established a working group in their meeting 19 February to prepare the renewing work. Chair of the Board Jonne Haapala and Member of the Board Elli Myllymäki, who is responsible for academic affairs, are members of the group. From the Student Council, Leea Putula, Karoliina Kokko-Tollola, Ellinoora Harvio, Alaska Kallio, Kristian Rajala, Santeri Kissa and Perttu Satomaa were elected.
