In addition, six candidates are running independently, without being part of any alliance or ring. You can explore the candidates via the election compass or in Tuudo’s candidate gallery. Why should you vote?
The 37 members of the Student Council make decisions on major policies that guide the operations of the student union. In recent years, the Student Council has, for example, selected a new Secretary General, decided that plant-based food will be served at OYY events, and appointed student representatives to the Board and Collegium of the University of Oulu. The Student Council also annually selects the OYY Board and approves the action plan and budget. The election compass helps you find the candidate who shares your views on the issues that matter most to you!
