Join our events on OYY’s Anniversary Week!

This year, OYY is celebrating the 66th Annual Ball. As usual, the program spreads throughout the week! The celebrations begin with Hallway Sitsit on Saturday 21 February, and the week has different events for everyone’s preferences.

On Saturday 21 February, the now-traditional University Hallway sitsit will be celebrated in overall tailcoats. If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to take over the University Hallway for sitsit, now’s your chance to find out! Ticket sales for the sitsit is open in the Kide.app until 13 February at 12:00 (noon).

The OYY Board will be serving cake on Tuesday 24 February from 12:00 to 14:00 on the Kontinkangas campus, and on Friday 27 February from 12:00 to 14:00 on the Linnanmaa campus. At the same time, 3rd class medals will be awarded to active students! Those receiving a medal have been sent an invitation and they may register to collect their medal either on the Kontinkangas or Linnanmaa campus.

On Thursday 26 February, OYY will organise the year’s first meeting of the advocacy section starting at 16:30, open to all students interested in advocacy work. After a joint opening session, separate groups will discuss current topics in international affairs, social affairs, and academic affairs.

Also on Thursday from 11 am to 1 pm The Oulu Student Magazine and OYY’s HyWe program will introduce their activities to students at the lobby in front of the Career Center. Come and grab yourself the new magazine, overall patches, stickers and take part in a raffle!

The celebrations culminate in the Annos 66 Annual Ball on Saturday 28 February in restaurant Pekuri. The registration is open until 19 February, and the price for members of OYY is €110. Read more about Annos here.
