Student Representatives of the administration

A student representative is the voice of students in decision making. There are student reps in the University’s administration ranging from the Board of Directors to Degree Programme Committees.

Faculty management Groups

Faculty Management Group supports the faculty’s dean with the faculty’s management and development and the implementation of strategy. The Management Group oversees operative leadership according to the leadership of the Faculty Board and strategy. The Management Group can also manage the faculty’s research if the faculty does not have a separate Research Management Group. In this case the Management Group prepares the operations plan for research and assesses the quality of research.

In addition to students the Group includes the dean, education dean, service manager, research unit leaders and other staff. The Faculty Management Groups meet within each faculty at slightly varying intervals, most often about once a month. The student representatives on the Management Groups work in close cooperation with the subject societies of their respective faculties.

Each faculty’s Management Group includes one student member and one deputy member, appointed for a two-year term. Student members who are not part of the university staff receive a meeting fee of €41.20 per session. Study credits can be granted from the position.
